Former Naval Construction Battalion Center, Davisville (North Kingstown)
EPA describes the former Naval Construction Battalion Center as a 900-acre property in North Kingstown, about 18 miles south of Providence. At its Allen Harbor Landfill, past activities included disposal of construction debris, paint thinners, solvents, asbestos, and waste fuel oil. The site was added to the Superfund National Priorities List in 1989, and the base closed in 1991. This is a record of disposal, not a worker health study.
We are researching other documented sources in Rhode Island, including Navy and shipyard work, and will add them only when we can cite a government or published record.

I worked at Davisville. Is that on this page because of asbestos exposure there?
The EPA record we cite is about waste disposal at a landfill on the former base, not about workers' exposure. If you worked there, describe your actual jobs to your doctor and any lawyer, who can look at your history in detail.
